Robot Quick Change Tooling via ATI CRX-Ready End-Effectors

ATI Industrial Automation’s CRX-Ready End-Effector Kits are complete end-of-arm tooling packages to help users implement material handling and assembly, sanding and finishing, and other cobot applications quickly and easily. These streamlined systems include everything required for installation and are configured specifically for use with FANUC’s CRX Cobots.

ATI offers CRX-Ready End-Effector Kits for tool changing with the QC-7 Robotic Tool Changer. The compact yet robust QC-7 Robotic Tool Changer enables automatic exchange of EOAT and includes ATI’s pneumatically-actuated patented Fail-Safe locking mechanism, five built-in air ports as well as options to add integrated Lock/Unlock sensors and a tool hook.

A variety of ATI’s Material Removal Tools are now CRX-Ready, including ATI’s Axially-Compliant Orbital Sander (AOV), Compliant Deburring Blade (CDB), Compliant Reciprocating Tool (CRT), Radially-Compliant Deburring Tool (RCV). The lightweight AOV-10 Robotic Orbital Sander is ideal for robotic sanding and surface preparation operations with the FANUC CRX. It features pneumatically-actuated double acting compliance motion that maintains constant pressure at the work surface and includes a curated starter kit of 3M abrasives.

ATI’s CRX-Ready Radially-Compliant Tools include the CDB, CRT, and RCV and can be used with a large array of materials. These tools feature pneumatically-actuated compliance that can be fine-tuned to achieve a broad selection of finish requirements.

The Passive Compliant Force Control Device from ATI is a standalone unit that allows for the integration of pneumatic compliance into part-to-process applications. The PCFC’s compliance is modular and offers three options to target specific force ranges.
