iRVision

iRVision is FANUC’s unique, fully-integrated 2D and 3D visual detection system that enables FANUC robots to see – making production faster, smarter, and more reliable. Combined with FANUC’s cobots, this system provides robotic vision, allowing cobots to work smarter and more efficiently, processing a real-time stream of data about their surroundings and acting under their training.

The vision process configuration can be done directly on the robot controller itself, on the Teach Pendant, or on any IE-capable device. All FANUC robotic offerings are compatible with the iRVision solution because the controller hardware is ready for vision. Setting up iRVision is effortless, as it guides you through each step of the process. A powerful vision toolbox is integrated in the standard iRVision package to support any custom-made application.

The iRVision 2D system increases flexibility by detecting parts' precise position and orientation, eliminating the need for costly positioning fixtures. The iRVision 3DL sensor head, using structured laser light, is built to understand varying surface conditions, making it ideal for 3D detection. The iRVision 3DV and 3DA area sensors project structured light for fast, wide-area 3D measurements, supporting applications such as depalletizing and bin picking. 

Additional tools like iRPickTool and iRCalibration further enhance robot functionality by enabling real-time detection and calibration, improving accuracy and integration.
