2 - Unboxing and Setup
Setting up your FANUC CRX collaborative robot is easier than ever with this step-by-step e‑learning video. In this guide, we walk you through the entire unboxing and installation process — from opening the boxes to connecting the controller and tablet teach pendant. Whether you’re new to automation or an experienced integrator, this video ensures a smooth and safe setup experience.
The CRX robot arrives in three separate boxes. Begin by carefully unpacking the robot and removing all packaging materials. Although the unit is lightweight, it’s recommended that two people lift the robot using the designated contact points. Once removed, the robot must be supported while it is bolted to its base plate or stand using four M8 bolts.
Next, connect the CRX robot to the R‑30iB Mini Plus controller in four simple steps. Start by attaching the robot cable to the large connector on the controller. Then, connect the ground wire from the robot to the grounding screw on the controller. After that, plug in the power cable and attach the short ground wire to the nearby grounding screw. Finally, plug the controller into a standard 120V AC wall outlet — though 200V – 240V options are also supported.
If you’re using the tablet teach pendant, setup is just as simple. The tablet may come pre-mounted, but if not, it can be easily attached to the base unit. Secure the tablet by pressing the side button, aligning the bottom edge, and tilting it into place. Then, connect the USB cable and the teach pendant connection cable to the controller.
This video ensures you’re fully prepared to begin programming your CRX robot. Stay tuned for the next lesson, where you’ll learn how to create your first robot program.
