FANUC’s CRX‑3iA is an ultra‑lightweight collaborative robot designed for manufacturers who need fast, flexible automation. Weighing just 11 kg and offering a 692 mm reach, the CRX‑3iA can be carried with one hand and installed in tight spaces, making it an ideal solution for shipbuilding, welding, assembly, and other light‑duty applications.

The CRX‑3iA's design makes it easy to relocate between narrow workspaces and adjust layouts effortlessly. The robot automatically detects its installation angle and can be combined with a magnetic base, allowing installation in any orientation and eliminating the need for bolt fastening. After relocation, operators can simply touch a wall with the torch wire, allowing the robot to automatically recognize its position and begin welding without re‑teaching. Its 3 kg payload supports both a welding torch and welding sensor simultaneously, enabling automatic weld‑point detection and path generation.
