FANUC is the only industrial robot and cobot supplier that integrates its very own vision system within inspection cobots, making every FANUC collaborative robot     "iRVision Ready." iRVision is FANUC’s unique, fully-integrated machine vision system that enables FANUC robots to see, offering consistency that manual inspection cannot achieve. 

Using this, manufacturers can automate error proofing and gross inspection—including checking the presence of features, confirming a previous operation occurred and identifying improperly placed parts—all while reducing inspection cycle times from minutes to seconds.

Cobot Inspection FAQ

In a cobot for inspection, items are delivered to a cobot that utilizes its 6‑axis to move and manipulate an inspection camera into multiple positions with extreme precision, speed and repeatability. This process repeats until all items have been checked for quality, with bad parts identified or sorted accordingly.

Price ranges for automated inspection systems can vary greatly, depending on the requirements of the end user. Cobot systems, however, are generally less expensive than traditional robot solutions that require additional safety infrastructure. And in many cases, pre-engineered solutions like FANUC’s selection of Cobot-and-Go solutions, by FANUC Authorized System Integrators, can be especially cost-effective.

FANUC’s line of flexible CRX cobots can handle payloads of up to 30 kg (or 66 lbs) while the company’s CR-35iB can manage payloads up to 50 kg. Additionally, the line of CRX cobots boasts an impressive reach of up to 1889 mm.
