In a cobot for inspection, items are delivered to a cobot that utilizes its 6‑axis to move and manipulate an inspection camera into multiple positions with extreme precision, speed and repeatability. This process repeats until all items have been checked for quality, with bad parts identified or sorted accordingly.
Price ranges for automated inspection systems can vary greatly, depending on the requirements of the end user. Cobot systems, however, are generally less expensive than traditional robot solutions that require additional safety infrastructure.
